  萬隆鄉(xiāng)位于開封縣西南20公里，北接范村鄉(xiāng)，東臨半坡店鄉(xiāng)，西靠朱仙鎮(zhèn)，南與通許、尉氏毗鄰，全鄉(xiāng)28個(gè)行政村，76個(gè)自然村，5萬余人，總面積165平方公里，耕地面積14.5萬畝。
　　 萬隆鄉(xiāng)地理位置優(yōu)越，交通便利，通信發(fā)達(dá)，水利、電力資源充足，基礎(chǔ)設(shè)施良好，屬典型的農(nóng)業(yè)鄉(xiāng)。盛產(chǎn)花生好無籽西瓜，是河南省標(biāo)準(zhǔn)化無籽西瓜生產(chǎn)基地。花生顆粒飽滿，色澤鮮、含油高、備受外地客商青睞。投資500萬元興建的小高廟花生市場(chǎng)，輻射整個(gè)豫東地區(qū)，遠(yuǎn)銷十多個(gè)省市。該鄉(xiāng)畜牧業(yè)發(fā)展迅速，形成南王天，楊樓兩個(gè)養(yǎng)雞專業(yè)村， 兩個(gè)奶牛養(yǎng)殖村，科技發(fā)展是開封市科普示范鄉(xiāng)鎮(zhèn)。
